Thought you might like some feedback on these apartments – we stayed at the Le Lavandou 11 – 16 Dec and found them to be great value.

 

While the apartments are a bit dated they are very well located to all services and very cosy – we were given the aircon for free where this is usually costs extra.

 

We stayed at the Old Burleigh Apartments last year which is also a nice place to stay but the managers at the Le Lavandou really made the extra effort to make our stay with them outstanding.

 

I would recommend both the Old Burleigh and Le Lavandou apartment for family groups staying over on the gold coast – Being down at Broadbeach is great - the public transport is great or you can just walk to most locations. Broadbeach is only a 2 minute walk from either of these apartments and it is heaps quieter that the main beach in surfers.

 

A special mention must go to the managers of the Le Lavandou apartments – Pat and Marilyn really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, I really feel that they would make the same effort with any of the welfare members that stayed with them. They gave us a late check out so we didn’t have to lug our suitcases around on the day we were leaving and I went down stairs to ask for directions on one of the days and Pat searched out the address and best bus/train/taxi/donkey to catch so we would get there on time – he even said we could borrow his Navman if it would help.

 

I’m more than happy to answer any questions from anyone looking at staying at either of these apartments and we also have some great hints on getting around surfers on a budget as well.
